Beth Fonner of Trinity (left) is with Sarah-Vance Goodman of T.C.Roberson after one mile, which they reached in 5:34. Both are seniors. Fonner placed 3rd in the state as a freshman in 19:18, 3rd as a sophomore (19:24), 2nd to Goodman as a junior (18:52), and in this race again finished 2nd to Goodman in 18:41. Fonner ran a course record 18:11 at the Greensboro Invitational in September. Her track times as a junior were 5:19 and 11:36. |
