The leaders hit the 2-mile mark and a pack is still together. Running in front are Bradsher Wilkins of Orange (#343) and Josh Baker of Freedom (#147). Also visible are Joe Lion of Watauga (white top) and Dean Bowker of Leesville Road (blue top). #21 is Tommy Howell of Apex. The runner behind Wilkins is probably Jon Bell of Leesville Road. Ricky Brookshire of Watauga is visible behind Howell. Howell, a senior, ran a 1:58.2 800 and a 4:18.4 1600 during his junior track season. |
