The team from Cary High School won the 4A Girls title with a score of 64, to 118 for second-place Watauga. Members of the winning team are, in order of finish, Janelle Silverman (19:21), Allison Perry (19:26), Amy Henke (19:43), Theresa Gilligan (19:52), Jenny Payne (20:01), Joanna Payne (20:34), and Melissa McGehee (21:06). Henke and Jenny Payne are seniors, Gilligan a junior, Silverman, Perry, and Joanna Payne sophomores, and McGehee a freshman. |
