Reynolds swept both team championships, winning the boys title by 28 points and the girls' by a huge 116 point margin. The boys team won for the second year in a row.

Performances were hindered by gusting winds, estimated at 30 mph.

Parkland's Ricky McCaskill set a new High Jump record, clearing 6-8. The old record was 6-6 1/4 set by Reynolds' Joel Cofer in 1974.
