The boys team title went down to the final event, the 4x400 with Hendersonville 1st (3:21.46) and Salisbury 3rd (3:24.26). Hendersonville edged Salisbury for the team title, 95 to 92. North Rowan was 3rd with 71.

An interesting battle in the Girls' Triple Jump with athletes from Salisbury and Starmount.

2nd in the 3200 was Hendersonville's Mark Hadley. His daughter, Alana Hadley was a finalist at the Foot Locker Cross Country Nationals as a 9th grader in 2011. On the track she had noteworthy times of 17:05.16 (5K) and 34:59.38 (10K) while in high school.
