Watauga sophomore Kristin Stroupe finishes 4th in 18:48, followed by
Jessa Giroux and Jenna Giroux of Southeast Raleigh, and Anna Hodge of Raleigh
Broughton. Of the top ten girls, six are sophomores and four are juniors.
Watauga's Lindley Swartz finishes 8th in 19:04.
Leslie Jimison (Greensboro Page) and Missy Dock (Providence)
finish in 19:19 and 19:20.
Southeast Raleigh, winners of the 1999 4-A State Championship.
They return all of their top seven runners next year. Southeast's #4, 5,
and 6 runners are 9th graders.
