State 1-A Champions: Jordan-Matthews

Jordan-Matthews won its' first ever state cross-country title, defeating Murphy 67 to 67 using the tie-breaker. Four of their top five runners return in 1998. Their seven runners are (in order of finish): Brian Schramm (17:51), Daniel Newlin (18:01), Luke Nicks (18:02), Jonathan Auman (18:17), Joseph O'Brien (18:27), Aaron Wellman (18:48), and Jonathon Culberson (19:19.7). |
