Tuesday - August 18, 2015 ... Trojan Relaypalooza (Vietnam Veterans Park)
(Park was formerly North Cabarrus Park). This meet is a 5x1 Mile Relay event. Teams can enter one team of 5 members into the A Relay race. Each leg runs 1 Mile and the winner is the team with the fastest total time. Teams can enter B, C, D, etc. relay teams into the B/C/D race, running the same format. Any runners not on a relay team will race 1 mile.
Cost is $40 per school (covers both genders). Make checks payable to Northwest Cabarrus High School. Entry Deadline is Thursday, August 13th.
To reserve a spot in the meet, contact Daniel Helms ( mark.helms@cabarrus.k12.nc.us). The first 20 schools to contact Coach Helms are guaranteed in the meet.

Friday - September 11, 2015 ... "Friday Night Lights" on the STATE MEET Course! (Ivey M. Redmon Park, Kernersville)
Mount Tabor High School will host four Varsity races to be run at dusk and after sunset with the entire course lit up via professional lighting.
A fireworks show after the races is also being scheduled!
We will have a JV Race for each gender beginning at 6:30pm, along with FOUR Varsity Races to follow. You will be on the road home by 10pm.
Event details are posted on NCRunners under the XC Calendar. This event will be professionally timed, professionally run, and an event your team will remember.
This event is obtaining sanctioning through the NFHS or border states so spread the word!

Saturday - September 12, 2015 ... 11th Annual Weddington Invitational (Weddington HS)
I want to remind everyone the deadline for entries 8 PM on Tuesday (9/8). No changes to other details listed below. We have a few more spots open if coaches meant to tell me they wanted in but forgot. We've had around 25 teams each of the past few years and are capping it at that but still have room for just a few more teams. Let me know if you want in.

The course is a rolling mix of wooded trails and fields. The first loop is right around 2 miles & the second lap follows the first half of the first loop. There's one short, steep hill you run twice & another that's long and not as steep. It's what many would consider "true cross country." The course seems somewhat challenging to most runners but times are generally not much different from those at McAlpine in cool weather. Times in the heat can be ugly, but it's cross country... In 2013, we made a slight change to the course, shortening a couple of sections lengthening the finish nearly 200m. It is wheel measured to 5K. Buses should park at Weddington Middle School. Spectators can park at WHS. No one should park down the gravel road off Deal Rd or along the Elementary School driveway. Packets can be picked up at the stadium.

Saturday - November 21, 2015 Dash for Doobie Tune-Up (Reagan HS, Winston-Salem, NC)
3200 meters on the track. The Dash for Doobie is a charity fundraiser for a scholarship that celebrates the life of former Reagan runner Nick Doub, who was killed in a singlecar accident in January of 2011. A yearly scholarship is awarded to a Reagan student who has successfully overcome great obstacles in their life. The entry fees for the Dash for Doobie are the primary means of financial support for this scholarship.

Sponsored by the City of Fayetteville Parks & Recreation Department, Cumberland County Schools. The track facility is adjacent to Reid Ross Classical School, 3200 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC.
AUTOMATIC TIMING by FINISH LYNX. This a 8 lane, 42 inches red all-weather track, with four Jump pits, two Shot Put circles and now added Pole Vault and Wheelchair athlete events. Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in both boys and girls divisions. Medals will be awarded to the top three places in each event. MVP track athlete and MVP field athlete plaques in both boys and girls divisions.
Outstanding Senior award will be awarded to a boy and girl athlete. Co-ed team 1st place trophy for highest combined team score. Food and drinks are available all day.
This meet is sanctioned with the NCHSAA. All athletes must belong to their high school team and must be accompanied by a coach from that school. $ 55 per team or $ 95 for both girls and boys teams, or $ 25 per athlete will be charged. Go to nc.milesplit.com to register your team/athletes.
