Saturday - August 27, 2016 ... 7th Annual Early Bird Invitational (Wendell Park, Wendell, NC)
Held at Wendell Park, the Early Bird has everything you'd want in an early season meet: races against top-level talent on a championship course, a relaxed atmosphere, cool t-shirts, a low cost, and (most importantly) the only meet with brownies for the team winners of the open races!
What - a 5K invitational with four races: Men's Championship (top 7 men on your team), Women's Championship (top 7), Men's Open (unlimited entries), and Women's Open (unlimited entries).
When - Saturday, August 27, starting at 9:00 AM.
Where - Wendell Park and Community Center in Wendell, NC.
Why - Because it's awesome! Plus, the previously mentioned brownies for the Open Race team winners.
How Much - $30 dollars per race, $100 for all 4, $10 for an individual athlete (don't worry, I'll figure out the cheapest entry fee possible!).
I'll be sending out entry forms and what not early in August, but if you're interested please let me know so that I can make sure you're team is included on the event shirts.

Saturday - September 10, 2016 ... 12th Annual Weddington XC Invitational (Weddington HS, Weddington, NC)
* * * MEET CANCELLED * * *
The course is a rolling mix of wooded trails and fields. The first loop is right around 2 miles & the second lap follows the first half of the first loop. There's one short, steep hill you run twice & another that's long and not as steep. It's what many would consider "true cross country." The course seems somewhat challenging to most runners but times are generally not much different from those at McAlpine in cool weather. Times in the heat can be ugly, but it's cross country. It is wheel measured to 5K.
Course Map.
Buses should park at Weddington Middle School. Spectators can park at WHS. No one should park down the gravel road off Deal Rd or along the Elementary School driveway. Packets can be picked up at the stadium.
T-Shirts will be on sale for $14.

(Hoka One One Postal Nationals).
The Dash for Doobie is a charity fundraiser for a scholarship that celebrates the life of former Reagan runner Nick Doub, who was killed in a singlecar accident in January of 2011. A yearly scholarship is awarded to a Reagan student who has successfully overcome great obstacles in their life. The entry fees for the Dash for Doobie are the primary means of financial support for this scholarship.

This a 8 lane, 42 inches red all-weather track, with four Jump pits, two Shot Put circles and Pole Vault and Wheelchair athlete events.
ALL HIGH SCHOOLS CLASSIFICATION & PRIVATE SCHOOLS (OUT OF STATE HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS MAY ATTEND).
Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in both boys and girls divisions. Medals will be awarded to the top three places in each event. MVP track athlete and MVP field athlete plaques in both boys and girls divisions. Outstanding Senior award will be awarded to a boy and girl athlete. Co-ed team 1st place trophy for highest combined team score.
Food and drinks are available all day.
