Update Sunday, 10/13. Our Internet access was finally restored Saturday night -- after 15 days. Thursday, 10/10. Power at our house was restored Monday night, after being without it for 10 days. However we still do not have Internet service Monday, 10/7: Today is Day 10 without power. But it should be restored later today. Cherry-picker trucks and line crews from Texas were in our neighborhood today. We're currently at the Hendersonville Co-Op. This photo is from our backyard this morning: This photo was taken 9/27:  (Yes, that is that tree's rootball) Saturday, 10/5: Still don't have power yet. Yesterday the Co-Op had power, but no Internet. They have a good wi-fi Internet connection today. Thursday, 10/3: Today is Day 7 that my wife & I have been without electric power at our Hendersonville home due to Hurricane Helene. I haven't updated NCPrepTrack since Thursday 9/26. I'm at the Hendersonville Co-Op now -- one of the few places in town with power (they have solar panels), a working Internet connection, and wi-fi. Please understand that I may not be able to update NCPrepTrack much until Duke Energy restores our electricity. I experienced Hurricane Hugo in Charlotte in 1989 but this is MUCH Worse. I've learned that Canton Pisgah HS and East Henderson experienced major damage to their football stadiums. Don't know if their tracks or equipment were involved. Part of Swannanoa was swept away by floodwaters. Haven't heard anything about Owen HS. No idea when schools will reopen. I wish the best for all of you in Western NC affected by this disaster..
